Re: Weather
Despite the forecasts still not had a drop of rain here. Eight degrees out there at the mo, the sun's just breaking through and there's not a breath of wind. Really quite pleasant but the soil is so dry.
Re: Weather
In north Notts. it's been raining for two hours. Not a lot, mind, but rain nonetheless. It has moistened the top three millimetres of soil.

Re: Weather
Even less here.
I washed the car before lunch and got spattered upon, now that I've finished it's brilliantly sunny again.
It's been about a month since the last rain, and for here that's a very long time.

Re: Weather
I was about to say just the same, Susie. It's reassuring to get proper Welsh weather back, isn't it?

Re: Weather
Ha.. first proper rain since March 4th and I was caught out in it (crawled under the netting picking PSB and got my buttons tangled in the mesh).

Rain, hail and snow here. Rather worried about the blossom on my two plum trees
Lost it all last year to high winds

Re: Weather
Raining here too
Just hoping the snow stops before it gets this far south.

Re: Weather
We had rain, snow, wind - the full works - on Wednesday. It was chilly yesterday with a good frost this morning. We have had a cool but sunny rest of the day and face the prospect of a wet holiday weekend. Good is all I can say as the allotment needs it. Shame about the Easter trade.

Re: Weather
On Tuesday I went to Inverness to do the shopping, leaving glorious sunshine up here and finding it alternately snowed and hailed all day there.
On Wednesday we took my mother down to Glasgow, the roads were clear but the Caingorms were thickly covered in pristine white snow - stunning. Driving back yesterday it had all but gone.
Totally bizarre!

Re: Weather
No rain here, grass not growing, some is going brown already, and I'm already watering my flower beds.

I wish I hadn't said anything. Since I first posted on this thread, we haven't had a single day without rain, and now we have thunder and hail.
Ah well.
