Note to self...
Do not store glass demi-johns in shed because only after you have spent hours straining four day old pear water, then added sugar, yeast & nutrient will the demi-john lose it's bottom and you will lose the entire contents of potentially yummy pear wine down the sink.

Oh noo! How infuriating. It is the logical place to store them though, no one would blame you.

I used to store mine in the cupboard under the stairs. Not much help if you live in a bungalow, though.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

I've done the same - taken demijohns out of the shed and then put boiling water in them to sterilise them...I lost about 4 demijohns that way until the little brain kicked in...
