Re: no snow!!!!!!
Not to worry, when Greece goes bankrupt and is thrown out of the EU for lying through it's teeth and cooking the books just to get into the EU, there won't be anybody to object

A few short films of us making home made food and drink in Bulgaria

Re: no snow!!!!!!
just to let you guys know we made it !
all the flights were canceled on the day before AND the day after our flight. we were lucky enough to fit into the small window of opportunity and we managed to get away with just being delayed at luton airport for 9 hours.
i heard on the news here yesterday that villages are snowed in and they are having to helicopter in supplys of food and blankets to them!
the roads were pretty bad when we were driving from the airport, we passed quite a few abandoned cars and trucks that had skidded off the side and got stuck in the snow. i was consciously gripping the kids tight as we slid round corners just feet away from sheer cliffs going through the mountains! but thankfully we made it back unscathed!

Re: no snow!!!!!!
the house is fine but its absolutely freezing here so we're staying with my husbands parents till this cold snap passes, it saves money on heating and food and its good to have babysitters
cant wait to get started planting our food for the year.
iv been eating the seemingly endless supply of yummy apples from the orchard.
everything else has either been sold or made into compote or jam.
and of course theres the wonderful Macedonian 'ajvar' which is roasted peppers that have been skinned and then cooked with lots of oil for hours, somtimes its got chillies or garlic and cheese in it too, its yummy! especially inside a tostie :)
