I highly recommend it it. Jean de Florette and Manan Des Sources are also in my top 10.
Heres a link to a BBC review of the film: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/A2204092
Amelie is a good film. Its a bit hard to 'latch' onto for the first little while IMHO but after that, its a cracker!

I am going to remove Highlander from my list and replace it with Leon. I forgot about that. How can I forget Jean Reno :love5:

Of course! Leon! See this is way too difficult, Amelie for feelgood, Beauty and The Beast for finally getting the dispicable Disney back to raising the benchmark for animation, Practical Magic just for sloppy nonsense, Human Traffic for when you are 18 at college and need a dancy film to get ready to, Henry and June for when you feeling slunty, Big Fish when you want to pretend everything is OK in the world, the list goes on...

Is Big Fish the one where the guy walks barefoot through that odd town (thats got grass everywhere) because they have stolen his shoes? His giant mate takes another path?

My favourite film EVER is Snatch, its such a funny film and Mr Pitts body in the fight scenes, my word :love4: - watched it 5 times in one day!!
Then theres Scarlet Letter - the love between those 2 is amazing!
Human Traffic funny as,
Trainspotting, brilliant

Ice Age dont know how many times ive watched it with my son now but it always makes me laugh.

Ive hundreds more films I like but I think if I couldnt watch anything else ever except those 5 I would be a happy bunny!

I subscribe to Blockbuster - I pay 15 per month and get DVDs sent out to me. I can watch as many as I like in the month. I get 3 at a time and hen I send one back, they send out another from my list. I only started it a few months ago so I haven't worked out if I am getting good value for money or not.I decided to do it when I moved out to the country where I am too far from a cinema and I don't get Freeview or anything yet.
I could get Sky but I'm not that fussed - will see how this DVD thing goes first.

Some of my fav films are - Dirty Dancing (how girly), Guys and Dolls with Brando, Dinner Rush, Leon and Zoolander.

yes Big Fish is the barefoot grass gianty one. So feel good (especially when bereaved - almost makes you believe there is something after).

I got a free month with sony love film when I bought my DVD player. I forgot to cancel it and DD went out. I have kept saying to myself I will cancel it and keep forgetting. Must be karma as they gave me the wrong dvd player when I bought it in argos and got it for much less than I should. (earl hickey karma)

None of these DVD in the post things are worth it in the summer in my opinion, just too much to do. - and we are gettting free film 4 from tomorrow on freeview. I need to dust down that video recorder and get some blank tapes.

I will probably end up agreeing. I ws watching 1-2 films a week during the winter while doing my ironing but now it's summer, I'm hardly watching any (and the ironing isn't getting done).
