Drip Irrigation.

Having spent the last few weeks installing a gravity fed drip irrigation system, for my veg patch, which consists of 8 12ft x 4ft raised beds I am looking for advice as to how I should run my tubing , and in fact any information regarding regarding the requirements for the operation of drip system,

This is my layout for the gravity system, the main rainwater collection tank is the grey concrete tank next to the building which can collect 22,000 litres of rain, and if needs be we can pump up from the river. The first blue container is my first filter and fills from the top through a filter to stain of algae etc. The middle blue tank is the fine filter and is bottomed filled and rise's through a sand bed and then passes to the 1000 lts storage tank. The fall from the storage tank to the veg garden is about 7 ft so I am hoping this will be sufficient.

Any thoughts or or comments would be really appreciated,

That sounds fine, Eddy. I think you only really need a couple of feet drop assuming you mean a leaky pipe system.

As for placing the pipe I've read of burying it but I've never tried that because I can't convince myself that the pipe won't get blocked so I've always laid mine on top in a sort of sine wave, between the rows of veg.

The drip systems I've had were thin back plastic piping with holes in it.If that's what you've got ,then your fall\ pressure,from the look of the photos wiill be more than enough.If the pressure aint enough to filter right to the end of the pipe we would put a stone or similar on the tube half way down.(if that makes sense!)
