christmas dinner

Post: # 250474Post old tree man »

I know this is corny but i'm old fashioned, all the family here for dinner on sunday myself and Jane our 7 children and 16 grandchildren, all of us have contributed to the three courses i'm the main cook and all have thier own jobs, it is so uplifting having three generations around the table, for me christmas is the family not i pod stuff or computer games, after dinner we play games for an hour charades ect, then we all have a cuppa and they make thier way home, christmas is so comercialised so we intend to keep the old ways alive, Jane and i send our love to you all be safe keep well and care for each other merry christmas :grouphug: :flower: :flower: :flower:
Respect to all, be kind to all and you shall reap what you sow.

No grandchildren yet Russ, but we'll still have the three generations - my mother is still going strong. Roast goose and all the trimmings all locally-ish produced (not much in our garden I'm afraid).

My Christmas cake is a work of art (not!) - OH reckons I could market it as a "Nightmare before" Christmas cake  Apparently cake decorating is not my forte

Our Christmas tradition is a little more new-fangled. As soon as my mother lapses into a Christmas coma, regular as clockwork, we plug the computer into the TV so we can all sit round and play an adventure. Not everyone's cup of tea but we enjoy it - and alcohol-fuelled it can be even more fun.

Merry Christmas to everyone. :grouphug:
