Bulk food suppliers?

Post: # 249508Post Crickleymal »

Does anyone know of any bulk food suppliers? I'd like to buy larger quantities of things like soya beans and rice than you can get in supermarkets or cash and carries. I remember when I was a student in the 80s there was a fantastic wholefood shop in Colchester which sold beans, rice, museli etc in 2kg bags. I can't find anything quite like that locally here in Gloucester.

Ok I can find rice but not anything else.

There used to be a good one in victoria street. I haven't been there for a while but it is directionally as you leave glos c centre heading for stroud via trier way it is a street parallel to trier way. It is a Chinese market but I don't know the name of it.

Looks from the map as though you're talking about Motala's. Excellent place but not if you want to get more than 1kg of soya beans. Rice they're fine for but not terribly cheap.

Suma are brilliant, they deliver to your house if order is big enough, over £250 I think, which between 2-3 people isnt that difficult.
