I appologise in advance, there is one nestle item in it BUT in my defence it was free and therefore coming out of their pockets, not mine and I have no intention of buying more, and tore up the complimentary coupon included.
this year I decided to do something different for my mum... I decided to see how much stuff I could get for free by filling in online forms, picking things up, getting magaines etc.
I have spent just £5.63 on the whole gift; postage for a few of the items, but this is almost balanced with the coupons in there (£3.30)! no photos yet but here's a breakdown so far though:
Bracelet with snowflake charm : 75p postage
kellog's all bran clusters, full size box.
"drawing the human head" book, ex library but found in the free book shop in town
Tena samples (no not offensive at all according to mum; I asked her before applying for that!)
Tena "improve your pelvic health" dvd (also no offensive)
Tena coupon 40p
RSPB birdsong cd
st john's ambulance first aid handbag guide
cross stitch coaster set, teddy bear motif
head&shoulders itchy scalp care shampoo and conditioner sample
head&shoulder's coupon £1 off at T***o
Clipper Tea x 10 bags
Clipper Tea 50p coupon
Hair Masque
Avon Fergie Outspoken x 2 samples
Avon Fergie Outspoken Intense x 3 samples
Avon lipstick samples x 6
olay regenerist night x 3 one night tubes
metal xmas tree ornament
liprock lipgloss
garnier bb cream x 3
garnier coupon £1
head massage genie (pay postage only £1.89)
extra gum (25% extra free multi pack, mum gets the free one lol)
refreshers (complained to company there were no pink ones in my last roll -I lied- got a free multipack lol)
nails inc nail varnish, red
helen e nail varnish in a burgundy shade (postage only £2.99)
helen e nail files (free)

cadbury fingers
twinings peppermint x 1 bag

and finally I've put in some "Câpres Rapiat" * made from my own home grown nasturtium seed pods. ( * "cheapskate's capers") and a 100ml bottle of home made blackberry vodka liqueur made from local forraged blackberries.
still to come: more perfume, a whiskey sample and... can't remember what else lol!!! I've signed up to a freebie site email and also money saving expert's freebies no spend board lol.
mum thinks the whole idea is hillarious and I have an idea it'll become a tradition. anything that doesn't arrive by xmas will go into a basket for her birthday which is in feb.

I love this idea! You and your Mum sound happy with the idea, which is brill in itself, I did actually lol about the refreshers!
I wonder morally though if it's no the start of a life of crime, will you not turn up in a stolen Car soon, and say "look Mum, it was free!"
:)

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Just goes to show what you can get with a bit of effort, a great idea. Unfortunately my out-laws wouldn't appreciate that kind of thing (more fool them). Well done.

The tragedy of this is my most exciting part would be getting something through the post that wasn't an advertising mag or a brown envelope. Well done you.
Not sure she'd appreciate my latest freebie. I bought a big load of horse wormers and got a free worm count coupon.
