Jesica houndret, "growing Herbs, design, planting harvesting, using (an illustrated encyclopedia and parctical gardening guide)

States "Infusions of the flowers may be applied as a compress to ease headaches, and are sometime taken internally, made weakm for anxiety and nervous exhaustion. As an embrocation an external stimulant and antiseptic"

I know, but I was reading it at the time.

You know as well as I do Mike, there are enough resourses out there to prove or disprove pretty much any point you wish to make.

I did find that it wasn't the TSA so much as the supermarket technologists who were really sticklers for the daft stuff, i.e. Peanut Butter ( caution contains Nuts) etc, the TSA have so much to cover from garages to food factories to markets and shops, that you have to be really bad to get them arrosed.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

I agree - it's daft. I'm in complete support of the aims of the 2008 legislation, but the execution is a bit loose. Even so, it's there. And I'm afraid that poor old Jessica, as a herbalist, would probably be described by a court as a biassed witness, no matter how many years of experience she has.

I also agree that the TSA won't be out there on a witch-hunt - but if they receive a complaint, they're duty-bound to investigate.

And, despite the recent caffuffle when the grace period for the application of the 2008 legislation came to an end, I don't think that the law is designed to incriminate people like GA, who is selling stuff she believes is good to people who also believe it's good. It's to stop the woo merchants, as I said in my first post - the "sharpen your razors with a pyramid - only £50", "give me some money and I'll put you in contact with your dead parents", "call me on this premium number and I'll give you an instantaneous horoscope (after asking some time-consuming questions)" people. In my opinion (see what I did there?) such people are pariahs who belong behind bars. let alone being given a severe warning.

Anyway, I'm glad GA feels better about it now.

At the risk of confirming that I'm not your kind of person MKG ;-), I have a very lovely Reiki practitioner who I sometimes go to, who gets completely irate about the sharpen your razors with a pyramid for £50 bunch and would agree with you entirely, while simultaneously being aware of the irony implicit in the whole thing ;-). She once met a man who had a machine that sharpened your aura and realigned your DNA and I think it nearly finished her off. Then, by an amazing coincidence, the next week I met someone who had actually had it done! It had cost her £100. I drank wine and bit my tongue, it was a bit of a challenge.

Oddly enough, Susie, first-degree Reiki is one of those things I could just about see my way to believing may have some success (although my reasons are very different to the reasons claimed).

Second-degree Reiki? Healing at a distance? Someone's pulling my leg (from far away)

Is Reiki a Finnish implement for leveling soil?
