I'm an FCA

Post: # 243323Post Thomzo »

A few weeks ago, I finally got around to applying to become a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. It means that I've been a member for at least ten years (I've actually done nearly 21!) and complied with all the requirements for continuing professional education.

My certificate arrived today and I suddenly feel enormously proud of myself.

Zoe

I was an FCA too... but I stopped paying my subs... (it was getting rather expensive for very little benefit)... and I fell out with their marketing people who (in my view) abused my trust as regards emails. I've since rejoined the IT Faculty as an ouside member..

I'm sure you feel better for knowing that :-)

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Thanks everyone. It's not often I actually admit to being an accountant in public.
