New Suggestion for Slug Trap.

Post: # 242359Post Cligereen »

I was out in the garden the other day checking the beans and I was forever batting away wasps. I decided that one of granny's wasp traps was needed, you know the jam-jar with a bit of jam and water and a hole in the lid. Well, we didn't have any jars with mouldy jam in them so I made one with the remnants of honey and placed it in the corner of the raised bed.

After a couple of days I was checking said beans again and lo and behold - the honey jar was full of slugs and not a wasp among them. There were wasps in one of my other jam traps but only slugs in the honey trap - and loads of them too!

So now I know the secret weapon and next year they won't stand a chance! :whax:
