Good Morning Everyone

Post: # 241843Post Dr.Syn »

Good morning everyone what a beautiful day it is here. Had some rain during the night but now it's clear bright and sunny. My plans for today are to go over to the bog and collect some more of my turf for winter fuel. I bought a line of 90M 9 blocks wide for € 95.00 which will see us through the winter in fact even after the severe winter we have 16 bags over from last year. This back breaking task should be finished by the end of the week and all into our store ready.

Hoping to hurry up the Architect to obtain our planning permission to convert out old stone built barn to a luxury 1 bedroom holiday chalet. I was hoping to have it well under way by now but we have had to have archaeology reports carried out (we are near an ancient burial mound known locally as a "fairy ring")

If the weather holds I will finish the new Chicken coop and run by the end of the week.

Just thought I would share this with you all

What are you up to today?

Hi Dr Syn

Looks like you have got your work cut out for the week, look on the bright side though you will probably lose a load of weight

Hope your holiday chalet is'nt held up for too long having to have the archaeology reports done.

Here in Lincolnshire we woke up to fog but have just got back from walking Troy and the sun has burst through and looks like it'll be a nice day.

Probably be out in the garden later - those pesky little weeds never stop growing.

Hey Dr Syn, busy week ahead for you! Just think how satisfied u will feel at the wkend when its all complete. Up North from you the sun is out but there's a definite chill in the air today. My plans for today r quite boring really, housework to do and 3 cold filled kiddies to entertain. Once they r all in bed this evening I will get a good walk with the dogs.
Hope u hav a lovely day. Xx

Morning everyone very overcast in Connaught just starting to rain. So getting on with work indoors. I intend to do a batch lot of fish pies for the freezer and when we cant be bothered to cook.

Some people complain about the weather but just down the lane there is an old farmer, Michael, he must be nearing his 80s and is always smiling, and whenever I see him whatever the weather ha will always say "Hello, isn't it a lovely day. This will make the grass grow for the cattle/hay/winter feed"

We need people like Michael to put our feet back on the ground.

Have a good day everyone be like Michael and look for the good. It sometimes takes some finding.

Gosh I'm getting deep

Amazing, they delay your little extension whilst they simply build a motorway over Irelands archeological treasure equivalent to Stonehenge.

Good morning from Co. Mayo where the sun is shining! but for how long. Got to take the Memsaab to the shops to get the goodies for the week.

Going to give the turf a few of days to dry a little after the heavy rain we have had (really we should have had it in by now looking at the diary it was all home by the end of July). My excuse is it was cut late?

Graham. It is the same as always If youv'e got the money then no doors are closed to you. It's like when I worked for a company of carers the building manager often said to the boss look you can have anything you like built - if you can afford it.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning all,

Mayo is wet, very wet but sure no one goes to Ireland for the weather.

We have been informed of a family misfortune (grand daughter has gone missing) so hopes and prayers for my daughter.

Thanks for the very kind wishes

Grandaughter found 160 miles away from home at her boyfriends home. Police have told her to telephone her mother (not text, it could be anyone writing a text) to tell her she is safe and well.

Again thank you all for your well wishes on a very frustrating day. You are wonderful.
