freezing garlic bread part baked

freezing garlic bread part baked

Hi,
I'm having a party, and want to prepare in advance lots of pizza-type garlic bread with garlic herbs and salt in olive oil on the top. However I want to freeze them before totally cooked, so that I can finish baking rather than just warm them up on the night. I've hired the village hall with catering oven so space shouldn't be a problem. I'm worried that if I bake them completely they'll burn when I heat them up. Help anyone?

It does work - you can buy it like that from those who shall not be named.

On the other hand, I would have thought that freezing part-baked bread and then adding the garlic butter and herbs at the point of re-baking would work even better.

So what exactly would I do? Bake it slowly until just set, and then freeze? Then oil over the slightly crusty finish before re-cooking? Would that work or would the oil slide off? Or is there a way to make the part-baked bread not crusty? Sorry, haven't tried this before.
