Drying/Dehydrating books?
can anyone recommend a good book about drying/dehydrating?
Ive got a dehydrator and Im hoping to dry some of this years produce,the leaflet that came with it tells me times for fruit /veg and fruit leathers but I think I could do with a bit more instruction.

I got a food dehydrator on freecycle... I haven't used it yet but will be on the look out for some good things to do with it... there are some good ideas in the booklet that came with it.... I'll post some of them once I get back home.
Still in Manchester at the moment... and enjoying the hot weather!!

Complete dehydrator cookbook - Mary Bell - william Morrow and Co - 1994 - USA - Very comprehensive!.
Drying Food - Ricky M. Gibling - Hyland house publishing - 1997 - Aus - a small book but some interesting stuff - like making your own dehydrated soup!
Drying fruit, Vegetables and Herbs - Doug Kneen - Victorian Dept of Agriculture - 1991 - a small book that covers the basics.
There is usually a bit on drying in any of the books on preserving food.
