Any recommended Apps or podcasts ?

Ok, so I have been working hard selling 'stuff' on fleabay and am now the happy new owner of an iPod Touch. Not very ish, but I love to have music to ride/run with on really long days, and also audio books for driving. Venturing into podcasts too. Broke many ipods so now have warranty too !

So what do you recommend ? I am sure there are lots of gardening type apps, and what about podcasts ? still trawling radio 4 and loving not missing fave programs on there. What else ?

I like to have the money programme as a podcast. Not always relevant to me and my circumstances but has been useful...and can always dream of having lots of money and a large poension to invest!

Gardeners Question Time on Radio 4 have a weekly podcast.

I've subscribed to this as I am normally at work and don't work in the sort of environment that facilitates listening to the dulcet tones of Radio 4 (20+ Learning Disabled Adults in one room doesn't always make for a peacful Friday afternoon ) Besides they'd probably laugh me out of the room and get it back onto Radio 2!

It's a general gardening show, but as there is a current 'trend' for veg growing there is a good amount of advice to be had.

(and Bob Flowerdew's Dad used to be my Headmaster at Primary school! You really needed to know that didn't you )

I listen to Adam and Joe's radio 6 podcast every week, am a member of Black Squadron's Electronic Division ans STEPHEN love made up jokes and other such irreverant humour.

also, check out Podio Books. they're free audio books by self published authors. some great, some really not so great lol.

Some of the more ishy one's I listen to include the alternative kitchen garden podcast by coopette, she has a lovely soothing voice and covers a nice range of topics. I also check out a lot of stuff on permaculture and self sufficiency, surprisingly, one of the best for that is the survival podcast by an american prepper. Just pick out the ones where he focuses on gardening or permaculture. He also talks about food preservation and things but a lot of the stuff on American constitutional politics and hunting and things is very irrelevant tot he UK. I love the wiggly wigglers podcast, the lady Heather is hilarious, they are always laughing and their son does a short blurb on what he's learned about wildlife that week called the Monty Cast which is really cute. Check out the i tunes university, I've got material from a load of different universities on all kinds of ecology, energy, engineering and sustainablity and stuff. They cover every subject under the sun and loads of universities are involved.
