I was talking to a colleague about my plans for leaving work and trying a more self sufficient lifestyle and he said, "Aren't you a bit young for that?" Apparently 36 is a bit young to retire and tend my garden

but not as old as you hey oddsox

Age is something the government introduced to tax people. I, personally have 3 ages.

1, 10 which is my shoe size, which I act most of the time.
2, 23 which was when I broke my spine but an age which I wish I could be for ever bcause you are a little bit older and have a few years of worldly experience but young enough to live life to the full.
3, 49, 50 this year which is my real age.

I've been 20 for the last 36 years. It hasn't been a problem. On the other hand, I like being an old fart, too.

I'm actually 9.
It's easy for me to work it out as my father in law is 29 and I am 20 years younger than him.

The only problem I had with my 30th birthday was it clashed with the opening ceremony of the World Cup with England playing the first game the following day so couldn't have a decent party & I hate football so getting friends round to watch the football at my party would not seem like my party at all, so I have decided to have my 30th this year instead. Age is just an number, I haven't grown up yet & I don't really intend to either.

I'm lost.......

As for doing things not akin to age ...... Playing on kids playgorunds embarasing my son, Being a cantankerous owld git......
Getting banned out of T***o's for playing on the kids toys.... then throwing a tantrum on the floor when asked to leave.....
....... but the best was when we had a grumpy wheely bin crew who would whinge about heavy wheely bins. I decided to climb in the bin and when they threw the lid open and grabbed the handle I jumped up and shouted boo..... Scared the sh&t ot of him and the rest of the crew wet themselves with laughter. I got a warning letter off the council for that one.....

I dare not get amotorbike now because I'd be just as irrisponsible and stupid as I was the last time I had bikes..... Triumph Boneville, Honda 750, Suzuki 250 GT Kawasaki KH250 triple in green and a Laverada Jota 1100 in orange......

Isn't it good that on this forum we can relate to each other as people first and foremost, without worrying about gender, age, appearance etc.?
I went to university as a mature student and was very proud of how well I did. It was hard to give up a regular wage and step into the unknown, but I was much more ready for university than I would have been at 18.

I went back to uni as a mature student and lasted 3 days... Appaently the chemistry tutor didn't like being told that i'd throw him out of a third floor window for making sarcastic despariging remarks to me...

It's all relative, just because my birth certificate says I'm 30, doesn't mean I have to feel it. OK so today I feel about 306 thanks to a heavy night and very little sleep, most of the time I go between 16 and 50 depending on who I'm with.

I loved my 30th, had a great time at a family BBQ, everyone came round, opened a new batch of home brew, everyone said they were amazed at how positive I was being. Positive? It's a number!!!! And at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how old you are. Why worry about turning any age? The alternative is you didn't make it, every little age should be celebrated as much as the big ones!

Happy birthday to everyone that has one coming up!!!
