Agreed. But I am also flexible on the matter of pickled eggs.

Not that I eat a great deal (couple of times a year, perhaps), but I really - and rather oddly, I appreciate - miss the era when chocolate bars in general and Kit Kats in particular came wrapped in foil and paper (which are, of course, easily recyclable) rather than those nasty little plastic sachets (which are not).

There was that moment of perfect peace when one ran a thumb nail down the foil before breaking off a finger.

Simple pleasure.

My bring back would be a TV with only four    channels. Not that I particularly watch the box myself but it would save the arguments among the rest of my clan and would save my ears from all the Hannah Fec*!"9 Montanna or Handy up his own Ar$£ Many.
They wouldn't have anything to watch except an hour and a bit of BBC childrens TV from 3 until 4ish.
Heaven knows I might even find them volountarily doing a bit of :study: :study: .
Now how    would that be.

You mean they're not any more? :( :( :( Doing that thing with the foil was almost the best bit wasn't it?

I agree with the Kit Kat thing and the pub thing. I also preffered the old crisp packets with a little window and proper flavours like plain or salt/vinegar instead of all the vile artificial ones you get now - they even smell horrible! I'd also bring back proper 3pm Saturday kick-offs for the football with one match shown in full on Match of the Day. It really messes up the weekend going to Saturday 12.30 games as you can't do anything else in the morning or the afternoon!

Phone boxes that take money. (I have relented to have Dave's old mobile phone this year) but I either forget to take it with me or forget how to use the blasted thing.

Bring back the tricycle, with a box on the back. You'll get everywhere you need to in any weather (the bike's no good in strong wind, snow and ice). You can still buy them (mainly cheapies where I am) but I want them brought back big time. Does anyone use one?

I have a trike! She's an electric one too,but you can peddle if you want, other wise I can go about 20 miles per charge. (I can't balance on a bike due to ear damage & peddling is hard no I have arthritis in my knees)

... Wall's ice cream man who pedalled a tricycle (two wheels front, one back) around the streets, blowing a whistle, and sold the best raspberry ripple in the world. That's it - that would be nirvana for me. Okay - I'm an old bugger.

Good man/woman yourself! Do others show any interest in it? Do you use it a lot?
