A barrel of fun?
An imperial barrel is 136.274824 litres in metric terms. Does this mean when you roll out the barrel you are having 136.274824 litres of fun?

Depends on whether you've drunk the barrel dry first

More fun with a blue barrel (traditional colour for oil barrels in the days long gone when it really was in barrels) which would give you a little over 151 litres of fun.

Re: A barrel of fun?
Imperial is much more fun. After all, knock back 9 gallons and you're off your 2 pins. Two pins amount to a firkin, and everyone knows firkin about is fun. Eight firkins though and you're in for a puncheon. Fun for some, especially as three puncheons add up to a tun of fun. On the other hand, 12 firkins make for a butt of fun, with two butts being a tun too.
So with Imperial you have the choice of 24 firkins to make a tun of fun. Or three puncheons to make your tun. Or just settle back and let it be two butts to make your tun of fun.
They beat 136.274824 litres of fun any day, so make mine a few good firkins...

The best argument for imperial measures I've heard!
