I'm quite excited about xmas this year! Will be fed up of all the hype by the actual day though, it makes it a bit of an anti-climax!

We are late delivering and our client are crying out already.... But hey at the same time we are looking at our purchasing for Christmas 2011 as in January we go to a trade fare where the shops buy for their next Christmas... Total madness!! And it is every year the same thing except that it is getting a little worse all the time. Some clients (garden centres, big groups, etc) they want their Christmas stuff to be delivered in July.....
When I worked at Farepak, we used to start getting the catalogue ready anything up to 20 months before the Christmas that it related to.

Do all these shops that have already decorated for Xmas, take down their decorations and redecorate for Halloween? Or not? It's miles too early for either. In France Xmas decs go up much later but unfortunately stay up until at least half way through January if not towards the end of the month, which is also stupid!

If they are decorating for christmas now, they wont decorate for halloween -- despite all the retailers efforts, halloween is not such a big event for them

our local tescos already has several shelves of christmas items but wont get halloween things in till a couple of weeks before

then the christmas stuff comes down on jan 2nd -- to make way for easter eggs!
