Unexpected haul of fire wood

Post: # 207650Post pelmetman »

On looking outside the kitchen window this morning saw a large branch had come down in the night from one of the huge trees at the bottom of our garden. Luckily it missed coming down onto the veg bed and considering the size it has done very little actual damage. Must have been rather windy in the night!

Still I'm not too bothered as it was making that part of the garden very dark and we now have a load more wood for the winter

yay, sounds good to me!!!

it's almost branch gleaning time round here agin. the council crop the trees and me and sophie go out with the trundle box and pick up the ones we can carry, leaving behind enough for the wildlife.
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very

Well done! Seems like yesterday was a good day for freebies. We got 3 bales worth of loose hay for nothing... they literally fell of the back of a wagon and the farmer just left them on the road! Not being one to pass up and opportunity we booted it =D Unfortunatly or wood fire is being replaced next month by gas =( I'll be so jealous of people with wood fires this winter :'(

we don't have a wood fire to heat the house, we have one for celebrating festivals in our garden. soph and i wash, cast a circle, meditate, have a fire and discuss the world.
