Blackboard Wall
Blackboard Wall
When the barge is complete I intend having a large 'blackboard' wall. The idea is that visitors can write little messages, I can write shopping lists/to do lists, mark the height of the grandchildren, menus, etc and I, or guests, can write up inspirational quotes, funny quotes, quirky quotes etc. Words are my favourite art form, so it is appropriate to have a wall dedicated to words. It will be constantly changing and so a 'living' wall. Keeping it clean (!) what would you write on my wall?

Re: Blackboard Wall
Good idea although if you are going to use real chalk I would write
'In dust we trust'

Re: Blackboard Wall
I would probably plagiarize half the signatures here on Ish
Or how about 'barging ahead'?
Nah. I'm useless at that sort of stuff. I'll stick to plagiarizing.

Re: Blackboard Wall
At our last house Dave did us a blackboard. The idea was we could use it for reminders, shopping lists etc. etc. Trouble is we both had and have terrible memories.
So in hindsight I think I would put - Remember to remember to look at our chalk board to remember what we wanted us to remember!!!

Re: Blackboard Wall
These are great quotes and sayings, just the sort of thing I am looking for. They made me laugh and I look forward to them making me laugh every day when I get to put them on my wall. Thanks everyone for replying.
By the way Dave, been there and done that with the wet feet and sinking in the middle of the North Sea (but that's another story) !!!!!
