Alternatively have "your food" and "his food" then you can both be happy
I sometimes think that I miss the junk food - but as soon as I think about it, it makes me feel bleugh!

As to the his and yours food - in our house it's a case of Ido the cooking and I do the shopping and if you don't like it starve 'cos I aint messin' round making different stuff for everybody! :evil2:

^^ Oh I wish I could do that!! SS will only eat about 7 different "home cooked" meals and my OH will only eat it if there is loads of meat! So I end up cooking 2 different meals every night and usually the one we have has variations for me (ie side salad, less meat, more veg etc)

If I ever have a kid I'm gonna inforce your rule though... I'm fed up of cooking different meals for everyone

Although the his and hers food works well if you only cook your own food and he has to get his own... it does double the washing up though :dontknow:

I usually do one online supermarket shop a month, for tinned stuff etc...

This month, I ran out of stuff and couldn't wait for delivery. I decided to go to the supermarket. OH decided to go with me.

Despite the fact that we have an extremely tight budget, and also various food restrictions (he is well aware of both things) he insisted on behaving like a small child - putting stuff in the trolley, sulking when I took it out. I spent the majority of the shop explaining that we either couldn't afford it, or one of us cant eat it due to the ingredients.

He then accused me of being in a bad mood and snapping at him.

This is why I shop online....

I'm starting to think I'm not a bloke. (Not, not just the red high-heeled shoe thing.)

I do all the cooking, everything from the daily meals to the baking and preserving. I also do all the shopping, sticking to our £70 a fortnight grocery budget and do my human calculator impersonation to ensure we only get what we can afford. We do have the occasional treat but it's usually home-made—like tonight's berry fool made from just picked strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries.

The OH, on the other hand, gets to lie in for an extra half hour while breakfast is prepared, gets a packed lunch popped into her hand as she leaves for work, and gets to chill on the sofa after work while dinner is made.

In return, the OH has to eat whatever is served up and do the dishes. She says that's a fair deal! :flower:

Stoney do you think you'd have time to open a school to teach others to be like you? I'll bet almost every woman who reads your post will go weak at the knees!
