This is a bit of a weird one but here goes.
I am planning a cycling holiday for the start of August travelling from Bristol down south as far as we can go. I have had a look on the sustrans website and they have a wonderful 'West country way' cycle route which basically maps the route I am hoping to take (but using safe and well used cycle friendly routes). Unfortunately this is now out of print and is not for sale anywhere! I have trawled second hand bookshops in real life and on the internet and can find nothing.
I know this is a long shot but does anybody have a copy of this I could buy or borrow. It really would make the holiday planning much easier, as I'm newish to the area so it really would be fantastically useful.
Anyhoo, fingers crossed!

Re: Cycle routes
Don't know if you've seen this, or if they cover the routes you want, but Sustrans seem to do a lot of free to download maps here

Re: Cycle routes
Thanks Maggie, I have most of those printed out already but there are big gaps which I would really love to fill before the holiday. Its not really the end of the world as we can just cycle in any old direction and still enjoy it, I just loved the idea of following a route all the way down to Padstow! :)

Re: Cycle routes
I cycled up to Aberdeenshire a while back using an AA road map book - close up Britain road atlas I believe it was called. I tore out the pages I needed and it had all the bike routes marked on it. I also use Os maps which clearly mark cycle routes too.
I've cycled from Bristol down a few times but there are a lot of hills and they just keep coming. But some beautiful countryside!

Re: Cycle routes
Ooh, Gem, does that route take you along the 'Tarka Trail'? We were in Croyde (North Devon) a few weeks back, and walked parts of the Tarka Trail (which is also suitable for bikes) from Braunton and it was absolutely stunning. Saw LOADS of wildlife.

It depends which way you intend to get to Padstow, but I would recommend the North Devon coast into Cornwall, via Croyde, Braunton then hopefully you can swing past Clovelly (just gorgeous) and down to Tintagel.
Aww, it sounds wonderful. I wish I was back there, it's just wonderful. Cold, rainy Scotland just isn't cutting it for me at the moment (Andy probably doesn't want to hear that right now....).......

I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.
