Enjoy your site very much. I live in a small rural town in Vermont. Oldest son is in college and youngest in high school. Being frugal and careful with money is a way of life for me. Thanks for the warm welcome, folks. Frozenthunderbolt, definately food for thought. I do trade skills and barter when I can, a way of life here Ski season is what brings money to the area. Especially when winter lasts about six months 
Lots of people have small businesses, chopping wood, snowplowing, maple sugarin', housecleaning and innkeeping. I've got my thinking cap on!
