Heya from South London!

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Heya from South London!

Post: # 199464Post Sinmara »

Hello :)

I bought the Self-Sufficient(ish) Bible a few days ago after having a look at it at a kitchen gardening workshop at the weekend and stumbled over this forum a few days ago - eeexcellent :)

I'm 32, living near Wimbledon with my boyfriend - at the moment we only live in a flat without garden, but I'm growing as much as I can indoors. We're going to move to a flat with garden soon (hopefully!) and I can't wait to get my hands dirty

What else? Music is my biggest passion in life, my heart beats - and will always beat - for Metal, but I also love EBM, Wave, Folk, Industrial, Medieaval music.

Oh, I'm Austrian, English isn't my mother tongue - so do excuse any spelling mistakes or bad grammar. I don't mind if someone corrects me by the way. (How else am I going to learn!)

My big dream is to own a house with a big garden where I can have loads of vegetable patches, a herb garden, some livestock and I also would love to keep bees. And lots of other pets - rats, cats, dogs etc

I do love a good spot of clubbing, dancing and jumping madly around, I like bodymods - I have several large tattoos and plenty of piercings (will upload a picture in the evening)

I'm passionate about politics, even though I'm not allowed to vote in the general elections! *shakes fist* But I do vote in all other elections! I'm a passionate pacifist that loves horror/gore/violent movies, and the occasional First Person shooter videogame. Don't have much time for gaming though these days, too many other hobbies.

I'm sewing my own clothes (well, some of them) and have amassed quite a pile of clothes over the years *ahem*

edit: oh, I forgot to add that I'm pagan, eclectic and proud of it - I don't follow any specific path, but I'm very much into the use of runes.

I did study English at University back in Austria, though I haven't completed my studies - but living here for 7 years definitely helped!
