The Wrong Day!

Post: # 192889Post the.fee.fairy »

Argh! I got up at 8am this morning, got washed and dressed, made coffee and ran to the classroom...and then realised it was Sunday! You'd have thought my parents would have helped out - i phoned them last night and i ring them on Sundays!

Argh...that's screwed my week up now. Tomorrow will feel like Tuesday!

Please tell me i'm not the only one to have done this!!

Haha I have done this many times, particularly when I was working early mornings for a while. I would just loose track and get up on a saturday or sunday and be fully dressed with a cup of tea in my hand looking for the car keys before realising that it wasn't a 'school day'. I have never gotten all the way to work because I listen to the radio and it only takes about 10 miles before I realise that its not the usual weekday DJ..

I left the house and driven off 3 times last year... felt like a fool every time. I have not done any really early mornings (pre 6am) in about 6 months so it seems to have stopped the sillyness.

I'm sure its very commen though its hard to know because when I ask people they are too busy laughing and pointing to say...

Well you're not the only one. I went in to work today, except that I was planning to. We were really busy so I agreed to work today, at least I'll get paid a day's overtime for it.

I do struggle to remember what day it is sometimes. That's why I watch breakfast TV (honest).

Nah, you aren't the only one.

Me and 12 girlfriends booked a girly holiday abroad once.

I took a week off work, packed my stuff and drove to the motorway services rendevous at 5.15 in the morning as agreed. You guessed it... I got agitated when nobody showed up by 6.00 so sent a group text message to all 12 and shortly received 12 grumpy messages telling me it was the following week and I was an idiot.

Better than being the week before I suppose!

That's brilliant!

I feel better about being an idiot now...the 'key staff' who look after the keys for the rooms looked at me really strangely this morning...
