one thing.... if stainless steel touches another ferrous metal which rusts, the rust can transfer and your stainless WILL rust...............

Well actually all Stainless will eventually rust! It just takes a long time, the corrosion rate for say 304 Stainless at 50m above sea level is 1mm every 700 years!

Re: Stainless steel what???
I have a SS garden (hand) fork which rusted within a couple of years. It was never used however and the trowel from the same set which has been used continually has never rusted. I was pretty surprised by the rusting.

Chopsticks! Wooden ones are a pain in the behind to clean!
Hairsticks (basically, short chopsticks with some twiddly bit at the top to make them look pretty), being a frequent hair dyer, my wooden ones all have purple ends...Also, well finished stainless steel would mean that there was less chance of catching and ripping my hair when i use them.

Being a on again off again blacksmith, a stainless steel anvil would be dandy, though there might be some metelurgicul issues involved.

Re: Stainless steel what???
Stainless steel chopsticks would be brilliant. I'm gradually moving over to stainless steel garden tools, but the prices are something else.
