why you should never have a spring clean!

been sorting out all my craft stuff today and im in complete shock at how much stuff i have! there's 2 pillow cases full of yarn! thats not counting whats in the 'currently working on' basket

3 boxes of art materials ( paint, pencils drawing kit that kind of stuff)
a whole box of card making/scrap booking type stuff
a huge box ( i can stick a 2 yr old in it with room to play huge) full of fabric :pale:
more cross stitch stuff than i remember ever having  ring binders full of patterns

and thats only what i can remember to write!

i think i need to build a craft room, just so i can store all this stuff!

if anybody wants some cross stitch patterns i have allsorts

I'm currently sitting on a pile of craft stuff that has migrated from my studio into the house because of doing things with the kids!

The trouble is putting it back isn't an option as my studio is housing our new (to us) kitchen, a rotorvator, welder and chainsaw plus other paraphenalia required by my DH to be under lock and key.

On the spring cleaning vein, anyone got any useful tips on how to stop the piles of stuff that seem to grow on any available empty space in the house? I SWEAR I don't bring THAT much stuff in the house, but still the stuff just seems to multiply, does it actually procreate without my realising it??!!

i think it does! im forever cleaning and having a clear out and there is always much more stuff that returns

im trying desperately to get things sorted out/ organised all the unwanted stuff off to the charity shop and freecycle, get everything i want to keep boxed up and stacked upstairs in my room so i can get on and do some decorating.

i have to do all of the downstairs of the house and get the builders in to take down 2 walls and put 2 more in! then i can have a lovely big kitchen and a decent sized pantry to store all my other stuff!

What FASCINATES me in an irritating sort of way  is how I seem to wash up a dozen times a day and I STILL have loads left! Or a stray teacup on the windowsill
