Kick you when your down
Re: Kick you when your down
Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear that you are in this horrible position. Maybe it was meant to be and your next place will be the place that you can finally settle down and really have somewhere to call home.

Yikes. I hope it doesn't happen again.homegrown wrote:It was verbal, which is supposed to be legally binding but in NZ the landlords have all the power and can forcibly evict if you refuse to move

How disheartening for you - apart from putting up greenhouses etc I expect you've put blood sweat and tears into getting the soil in good condition.

Re: Kick you when your down
Hey guys thanks for all your good thoughts,, we found a house today four bedrooms on 3200 square metres not 8 acres but big enough for now.
its beautifully modern on a section with some established fruit trees but apart from that its bare so i can have all the fun of landscaping it as well as building a new vege garden, there's some old roff trellis and large windows that the landlord said I can have , so I'll use them to build another greenhouse, plus lots of piles of soil I can screen and mix with compost to fill the new raised beds I'll build. plus their putting in a seperate ablutions block and caravan power socket so we can ahve gusts or woofers to come and stay. we back onto a winery so i might be able to do some barting for some wine or grapes or both.
Once we have movede in I'll look at staring a blog to show our progress
oh by the way they're willing to sine a five year lease at $260.00 a week, I think thats about 70 pounds.
so thanks guys but for now the crisis is over.

Best of luck, I hope it all goes well after what you've been through. This new place sounds like it's full of potential....

Oh that's great news , that's a good amount of land (about 3/4 acre) and what did you need 8 acres for anyway?
And a signed contract is even better!
