Me too croswsashes, I felt positively cheery this morning, with sunshine streaming through my window. Even though the cat woke me up three times during the night!

Not quite the same eerie cream cheese experience stuck at my desk, but I can see sunshine and crocuses outa my office window. Does that count?

Spring is FINALLY practically almost here. And only 17 days till the end of DST. I might have a little party on the 28th. A whole hour of daylight when I get home!

And good morning to you all too!

Horrible up here this morning - you'll have to forgive me not joining you on the doorstep, but I prefer milk in my muesli not water   It's bucketing down at the moment. Still we've had a few days of lovely sunshine so I'm not complaining.

And I've got tons of work to do indoors so everything outdoors can wait. We're currently converting what used to be a stable/shed into my spiffy new therapy room. Unfortunately, being inexperienced, if keen, DIYers we've been thwarted at every stage of the game. So what should have taken a couple of days is taking weeks while we wait on deliveries of yet more things we never knew we needed

So far we've had to have a new drill (our old one won't drill through concrete). Then we'd got the wrong type of wiring - we only need to extend the lighting by about a metre :? , then we started to put the plasterboard up only to discover we've not got the right sort of screws - I ask you, who knew you needed special screws to put up plasterboard  :dontknow: - except anyone who's put up plasterboard before, of course

Because we're so far from civilisation (normally a huge plus about living here) we can't just nip down to B+Q - so everything's done online. Some things have taken 10 days to arrive  OK the roads were completely blocked for 2-3 of them but 10 days.

I'll need therapy myself by the time it's done.

Just like you GA, it's pouring down here and a biting wind to boot. Not feeling too happy (gum sores again) so just a cuppa for me. Hubby is away so I'm feeling neglected, need a big hug or ten so he's got some making-up to do  .
We visited Durness last year but it was only a day visit as we went along the top road then down the west coast to Lochinver. What kind of therapy do you do?
Totally understand the problems of getting stuff up here, we do have DIY supply shops but boy, do they hike the prices up and on-line orders depend on how much they charge for delivery. It's not like we live in Siberia.......if Royal Mail delivers okay without stupid costs added then why do firms insist on using expensive couriers :dontknow: . Okay with big stuff I guess but the smaller, lighter things would be easy peasy to deliver - oh it's annoying. Everytime Dave goes south he has a shopping list with him and not just for ourselves - this time he's bringing back some internal doors from Homebase for a friend - they're half the cost of up here! Good luck with the therapy room :salute: .

Morning All

Its a beautiful sunny morning here!! Walked my eldest to school, then came home and hung the washing on the line. It was fab not to get too cold. Sat here feeding the baby. Hopefully the two little ones will have a nap soon, so I can do some cooking and tidying up. Then I want to plant some seeds, as I haven't started yet.

well the day started out great , but now my hoover set on fire!

i was using it to clean the sofa then smoke and flames! thank god the front door was open as i could run out with it quick before the smoke alarms went off!

so now i am left to sweep the living room carpet with a stiff broom, its not actually that bad and my carpet looks much better tbh! after having a nice brush and all.

still im left with out a hoover and much cleaning to do!
