I think it's a great photo - after 6 hours digging the only photo you'd get of me would be a two-fingered salute!
Have you contacted your local Scouts / Guides / Boys and Girls Brigades about helping out? Our local groups are desperate to get stuck into our garden, it helps towards their badges. Even Beavers/Cubs/Brownies might be able to do simple things like digging trenches for planting (ours are going to help with the biodiversity area and bog garden); and it's a great opportunity for more publicity. Also, if you need fencing / walls building etc you might find the local college run courses and will have eager students looking for some experience. Since we publicised our project we've had more offers of help than we know what to do with - even an offer to build us some dry stone walling, people offering to make picnic benches and seats, and someone offering to carve us a totem pole for the children's learning circle!
