New Years Eve

Post: # 182002Post thesunflowergal »

What has everyone got planned for tomorrow night?

Hubby is working so I am home alone, well apart from the smalls. I thought I would look online and try and do a seed order  . We will be having a nice meal on Sunday though, as our New Year celebration.

I really look forward to New Years Eve. I look at it as a new, fresh, clean start to a New Year. My 2010 Diary is already filled in with birthdays, anniversaries, dead lines, etc.
Whether I keep to my New Years Resolutions is another matter :help:

I too have turned down a night of clubbing in town, I dont fancy spending all the money for one thing.
I am just having a realy good friend over and her husband for dinner and drinks.
It will be a good night.

We were given some wine as a gift for Christmas, so me an' 'im will probably sit and drink that once the kids are akip. Bit annoyed that 'Still Game' will be a re-run, not a new episode; and I can't bear the thought of BBC Scotland's Hogmanay (they won't tell us the guests - whoooo - so it'll be Nicola Bendetti, Paulo Nutini and Ali the folk-man again, then, same as every year since 2005.........and, pray to the Gods, NO special appearance by Susan Boyle....).

I think I might be dusting off the Trivial Pursuit............

I HATE New Year. I always get drunk, I always get maudlin. I HATE that bloody Robert Burns song. I don't make my proper resolutions until Imbolc anyway.

Happy New Year. My Arse.

Lots of love,

Jim Royle xxxx

Staying at home, reading, then going to bed at bedtime.

It's a full moon, so the big party down at the hall could be wild. I might get called out of bed in the middle of the night to scrape someone up off the road. I don't want to be on the wrong side of that scene.

Staying home just like any other night and will probably fall asleep on the sofa well before midnight then OH will wake me up, we'll say Happy New Year to each other then I'll go to bed. Rubbish on telly doesn't bother us anymore as we bought each other box sets of DVDs which will keep us going for about 300 hours. Also I'm not very good at knitting and watching telly at the same time so I've started ignoring the telly (me?  ).

a sneaky take away planned for here tonight, alongside a chocolate birthday cake to celebrate masteruvpie the thirds second birthday - thank goodness it's on a memorable date otherwise I'd have never remembered it!

Oh may sneak in a guiness (medicinal of course, with the added bonus if it helps luvpie the forth sleep better!)

Hope everyone has a happy and safe night, and a fantastic 2010.
