Holiday Exchange forum

Post: # 181992Post homegrown »

Hey maybe we could have a holiday exchange forum where ishers in different parts of the world who want low cost holidays could house swap with with other ishers.
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

I would love to visit New Zealand, but I it would be unfair on you. Would you really want to visit Swindon, home of the magic roundabout?

If you want to come to a very messy ex-council house 9 miles out of Glasgow for 10 days starting on June 23rd, apply to me now! (I'll be camping in Devon).

Lovely idea.......another idea would be a section for such things, including ideas for good campsites in different areas. I guess you would call it a 'travel forum'. We could include all sorts - how good they are for kids, how environmentally friendly they are, how easily you can get to them without using a car....all sorts. I think that would be really helpful for a lot of folk. I know I spend hours umming and arring about campsites, particularly now we have the kids who are both still very young. We used to just be able to get up and go with rucksacks and the 2 man tent using public transport before we had children; now we save our car for a single holiday, and my god even our big-booted Primera is feeling the strain to the extent we might need a ruddy trailer. It's not just about the site, it's - for me, anyway - about how close it is to things of interest that don't need driving to as well.
I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.

Well I'm happy to let people know about great NZ locales as I used to be in the hotel game and learned of some great places. But how's this for silly, we live on 8 acres and we are going south for a break to stay at a farm stay

And if any ishers are coming to NZ fell free to look us up, we have plenty of room for tents
