I've heard of them, because there was such a huge hoo-ha about them years ago. Since then nobody has mentioned them so I thought it was another of those things like bird/swine/sars/flu that was media hype and soon goes away.

BBC Gardeners World had quite a lot on them a couple of years back. Mostly found in Ulster and the NW of the UK...... which is where you are ..... sorry if that worrys you ....

Well, I still haven't seen one but... I just dug up a few square metres of potato patch and found no earth worms what so ever, not even one.... which worries me but... not much I can do...
Apparently ground beetles eat them so that's good news... but I need my earth worms
