Old posts

Post: # 164477Post Odsox »

Does anyone else get email notification of a new post only to find it's an old one ?
It happens to me every so often, and it happened this afternoon.
I just got notified of a new post in "collecting seaweed" and also "solar composters".
The last post in "collecting seaweed" was June 8th and "solar composters" was July 27th.

It's not a problem, just very odd.

I can explain that behaviour.

A spambot posted in them threads, and some mods have found it and deleted it before you even got to see it. (they are good like that)

I am just about to improve the anti-spambot system again, so this should happen less, it is a constant battle, they just keep coming, rather like weeds.

Ah yes, thanks John.
Now you come to mention it I did see that someone had reported spam today.
Never thought of that, obvious when it's been explained.

I get that too! I know it's from deleted spam if I am taken to the first post rather than the last post of the thread.
