I used to get weetabix style goo baked onto my dishes when the salt AND rinseiad needed topping up... and vinegar makes a much better rinse aid than any of the commercial ones i used.

The salt seemed to do the trick... until today, it's all weetabix again (yeah, I don't eat weetabix either) :pale:

It is a built in one Rosey, but I might take a photo of the buttons and display area.

did you fill the salt until you could see nothing but salt and no water?

'cos that's how full the salt should be... and it takes more than you'd think, and it must be dishwasher salt becaue normal salt dissolves too quick.

Oh, no... I didn't....

and I just use normal salt (cause it is only pennies per bag) rather than dishwasher salt, which I am sure is a scam.

Yeah - the only real difference is the size of the grains, but it seems that's important to prevent it dissolving in a flash.

Have you tried the coarse grain salt? I remember we had a 25kg bag (from SUMA) - much cheaper than the coarse designer salt you pay a fortune for in the shops...

I'm a size 10, really; I wear a 20 for comfort. (Gina Yashere)

Loved the anecdote Rosey! Thanks for brightening up my evening

Ann,

Try citric acid crystals-available at the chemists. It cleans and deodorises and de-gunks all in one go.
