Toilet Cleaner

Post: # 151879Post thesunflowergal »

I have been trying to find a non chemical way to clean my toilet, but I am not sure. What do you use please?

I clean the rest of the house with vinegar, lemon juice, bicarb and soda crystals.

Thanks Nikki

We had a recent disscusion about this...

Now that I have cleaned the 15 years of scum off of ours  a sprinkle of bicarb and a splash of vinegar left in for a few hours then swished around with the toilet brush seems to do the trick for any other build up.

white vinegar about twice a month and we keep a bottle of the ecover toilet cleaner by the loo but its lasted about a year as we only use a dribble every now and then (generally when we've got guests!) to 'freshen' it up. smells alright.

also, if you use a toilet brush for about 10 seconds twice a day you tend to get a lot less build up therefore negating the need to use too much cleaner anyway.

Kim and Aggie (How Clean Is Your House) use borax, vinegar, lemon juice, cola and bicarb quite often (not all together...).
