We bought a hand mincer several years ago so that we could buy el cheapo stewing beef to make mince with to save money - can't remember where we got it from but I imagine off the internet somewhere! I don't use it anymore because it is such a faff trying to clean meat gristle out of the holes in the discs, and the disc with the smallest size holes was so absolutely impossible to clean that I had to throw it away.

They rust as well if you don't dry them immediately.

Then I discovered Lidl mince which comes in a bag you can pour out as much or as little as you like, meaning we use a lot less (individually frozen it looks bulky but actually isn't) so saves us as much money!
