Greetings from North Norfolk.
Hi everyone.
I'm a 24 year old Londoner, now living in North Norfolk, and in the past year or so have become greatly interested in sustainable/green/frugal etc living. I've just returned from six months traveling in Asia and Australia, and am beginning to set myself a few challenges.
I've started with keeping a much closer eye on my spending than I used to and endeavoring not to buy anything at all that I can reasonably make myself (hence the username, if you get the reference), then freecycling, reusing and buying second-hand where appropriate.
I'm back living with the folks for the near future. I'd love to be independent and have my own place with a garden entirely turned over to growing, freedom to fill every windowsill with pots, to raise chickens and to have more control over what came into the house (no foods/toiletries/cleaning products etc that can be homemade with natural ingredients), but it's not yet financially viable.
I've persuaded them to let me wreck a smallish area of lawn to start growing in, and have got the compost heap and wormery on the go.
The next few projects on my to-do list involve starting the growing, learning to make my own soap, ebaying or freecycling all the stuff I don't use anymore and learning the ukulele. I know the last one isn't relevant, but for some reason it seems fitting.

Hello from the other end of the county, & good luck with the ukelele (or a uk eel).
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
