Thanks to everyone as you have kept it going. I think without the feedback I would not still be as passionate about this site now as I was when myself and Dave first started it up. Do you think that selfsufficientish will be in the oxford english dictonary by the time we reach 5

some stats for you
We have had over 14,000 messages posted on this forum so far and we should reach 1,000,000 hits by the time this site reaches its 2nd Birthday on 14th April. Should we celebrate by doing something?

G'Day Mate!
Yeah, should be some type of celebration, but don't ask me what!
It would be good to get recognition of the Oxford dictionary type...........hmmm, maybe we should all write to them - people power!

Celebrations !! YES.... definitely.... no idea what though? How about we all write to our local paper about something and mention ssish in it... or have a quiz and everyone invites a friend to come along too.

I think we could have a celebration. Perhaps we could incorperate your auction idea shirlz or at least a part of it. We could hold a little competition where the winner or winners get something from the other self sufficientish ers. A cutting, a cake or something like that?

So to enter the comp you first have to submit something and be prepared to send it to whoever in order to get something back.
We could give everyone a number in order such as
1. Shirlz
2. Mandyz
3. Shiney
4. Shelle
5. Wombat
and so on, then usingthis randomize them and put the randomized numbers along side the orignal list and say who has to give what to whom.
Does that make any sense? Will it work/is it a good idea?

I think the continent division is a good idea.
I suppose it can't really be secret anyhow - we need to ask the recipient for a mailing address. The gift will be suprise enough.
The list of names accompanied by the randomizer (for each area) works well - provided the randomizer doesn't have #4 in the 4th position. Then of course you'd re-randomize :)
We also need persons to volunteer to participate :)
Shall we start some lists then:
