My profile says I've received a PM. However when I open it I just get a blank screen.

Have tried to open it from the front page and the control panal.

Anyone else have this problem?

hi Elizabeth. Yep, i've had exactely the same prob. The only way round it, that i could find, was via the e-mail notification that you can choose to receive, if you are sent a p.m.
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

John Headstrong knows other people have had this problem and is trying to fix it  I'll make sure he sees this too.

In the other thread on this subject, someone said they couldn't read their pms in Firefox, but could in IE. Please could you state what you are using as it might help John.

Also are you still having the problem or is it intermittent? We moved to a new server yesterday so would be interesting to know if you are still having this problem.

I've sent you a PM Muddywitch as a test!

And you too Elizabeth - just in case it was just the one PM which was a problem.

I received a e-mail from john headstrong over the weekend, regarding this problem. I was going to reply today, saying that all seems well, as i have been able to open my p.m.'s the last couple of days. However, this evening the problem has re-occured, so i'll send john a notification so that he knows. Hopefully he will be able to resolve the situation. Also, have other people had the re-curring problem of opening a thread, & it drops straight to the bottom of the page?

Thanks MMM - I got your PM and managed to read the one I couldn't before - however I can only do this from the email notification and not by clicking on the message at the top of the page.

I have tried to send you an email back and to someone else but the email is just sitting in the outbox - do I need to do anything to get the mail to actually be sent?

PMs sit in the Outbox until they picked up by the recipient and then they go into your Sent box, so you know when your messages have been picked up! Have a look now as I've read your msg and you'll see.

I always open my PMs from email notification so maybe that's why I haven't had a problem? (not that I get many pms!!!)
