A rival to Mrs Flibble???

Post: # 145877Post Mylovelyhorse »

Well no, actually. But I *have* just learned to crochet! I went to a class for a couple of hours last Friday morning, where I learned how to crochet a granny square. I've been wanting to learn for ages and am so pleased that I've made a start.

All I need to do now is practice, practice, practice. Until my rather variable tension sorts itself out!

If I ever produce anything worth looking at (except my granny square, which is mine, all mine!), I'll post a piccie for you all.

Congrats! I have recently learnt to crochet and really took to it, unlike knitting which I am hopeless at. I LOVE granny squares, you can make them into blankets, throws, make a giant granny square, make bags, gloves.....

I am currently making a welcome to the world gift for baba number 2 who is due in June. It is a granny square blanket made with Twilleys of Stamford Organic Cotton, and it is a dream to crochet with.

Enjoy your new hobby!

I really enjoy knitting too - I've been knitting since I was 6 years old, which makes it all the more odd that it's taken me this long to get round to crochet. I'm trying very hard not to think about all that lovely wool until I get paid this month. Must stay away from the wool shop... Must stay away from the wool shop... Must...
