I got up at 8:30 this morning and asit was sunny decided to get dressed and go straight outside. i put the guineapigs out in their run out the back, put out last nights load of washing, put another load in the washer and got my garden tools together.
i have
raked the leaves (front garden gets full, we are near a green with craploads of trees on)
cleared out the rubbish (we live near a public footpath)
dug a flowerbed (keeping the turf for other purposes)
planted some hardy perenials
cleaned up the edges of the path by cutting back the overgrown grass
cleaned up our crazy paving, again cutting back weeds and stuff
washed the windows, glass and upvc outers, fascias, soffits, and the wierd pointless bit below our kitchen window
cleaned out the lower guttering; the bit over the verandah
got rid of all the cobwebs under the verandah
cleaned our number sign
then i came inside, went out the back and put the turf i had cut from the front into the proper guineapig run, bedded it down, watered it.
i then moved the temporary run round so they could get t more of the grass between the paving slabs out the back.
then i came back inside,
cleaned bathroom; properly, bath etc, wiped down the floor too.
swapped more washing over
brought the pigs and washing in cos it's looking decidedly grey and is getting colder out there
did 3 days worth of washing up
scrubbed my cooker
scrubbed the kitchen floor
uhoh, there's the rain...
made a months worth of softsoap, deliberately sloshig some over the hob so i can leave it to cool and just peel the dirt off with the soap,
cleaned out my fridge,
scrubbed out the microwave,
cleared and re ordered my larder (a floor to celing, 3ft wide larder i might add) and washed the bottom shelf cloth,
swapped some more washing over...
now i am tired, my feet ache, i look a total mess but i feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
soph had a great time too, playing outside, helping me clean and plant stuff, popping inside every now and again to watch a bit of telly and have a relax... she's sooo sweet.
gonna eat then do the rest of the kitchen. i have only completed the food preparation area so far and have my little relaxation area to go.
oh! nearly forgot! i thought the snow had killed my garlic plants so i ignored the planter, planning on cleaning it out and replanting this week. turns out they're still alive!! so i weeded out the planter too cos it was a bit overgrown after having been ignored for 2 months...woohoo!! my rhubarb's come back to life too.
what was i gonna do now?
oh yeah. eat.
mmmmm satisfying.

Wow...I feel so lazy now :-p I'd been planning on sorting out and moving my mother's compost bins and a few other tasks, but the rain put paid to that plan :-s

I have done ..........
.......... errrr
........... not very much at all today

- My (very poor) excuse is - the weather is rotten today with freezing winds and a few swirly bits of snow and ice - an indoors day.

Yup, we are having blizzard style weather up here too..... I have ripped some (3) CDs to Itunes though.... so not an entirely unproductive day

Oh I love those days!!
Yesterday we got cracking on the allotment which was very satisfying but today has been spent with the inlaws, my mil likes to feed us and look after us so i sat on my but and did nothing all day! The house is a tip and needs tidying now, but i thought i would check my emails first, and of course come on here :)

Yep, I've had a nothing-ish day today too - went & got the daughter & the little one, cooked a good old fashioned sunday roast, Leah made the yorkies, cos she makes the best (only 5 but by god, she's got it already!) chatted, played, chatted some more & then took them home, to return to a nice cuppa tea & a sit down...
I'm exhausted!
