Recycled Valentine - brilliant!

Post: # 143218Post invisiblepiper »

Had to share this one -
an older friend in her 70s, discovered that her husband has never really noticed anything much - unless he was VERY interested in it. He also likes to be 'MADE A FUSS OF'- sadly - without much reciprocation.
SO - for the past 15 years, she has been giving him the same handmade Valentine's card - carefully replaced in the same envelope each year. It goes on the mantlepiece for a few days - then she carefully returns it to its envelope - to give it again next year!
The trick is - she says - to keep to minimum detail - this has a heart which states'I love you' - and 'to -----' inside.
Great recycling .......................and he has not noticed.......yet!

Cool

The year before last I found a great card that I gave to my husband from our dogs.

I found it again when decorating the tree for the Christmas just gone, so I gave it to him again. He didn'r realise, but I'm no good at keeping things to myself, I told him! He didn't mind.

You think he hasn't noticed after receiving the same card for 15 years!!

He is probably thinking, "she gives me this card every year and thinks I don't notice its the same one! I better keep quiet and play along with her little game". Its what we men do for an easy life.

we decided not to do cards this year, but i did get a bunch of flowers. i gave him a message written on paintbrush and added to the laptop desktop so he'd see it when he switched the computer on. it was really soppy. :D

i was going to crochet him something totally pointless like a T-Key cosy... but decided not to.
