Two days off school!!! Wooooo!!
Think the coucil might be regretting a rather rash decision to close schools today though, I could have quite easily got to work.
Please please please snow tonight so I dont have to go to school tomorrow!!!

Our 1/2 inch only lasted a day... but it was being reported that 'all the major routes in Scotland are open'... well yeah, that's cause there is no snow. We regularly get 3 or 4 inches here (high up and away from the sea) and no one raises an eye brow and the schools all stay open - if it was unexpected then the roads get pretty bad, but nothing like what was happening in London, when I was in Glasgow the ground was hardly ever cold enough to allow the snow to lie. But I do remember my Dad taking me to nursery on a sledge one year... Wooohoooo!!!

Snow here since Monday. It looks really pretty. The main roads are doing OK but the side streets are a bit icy. I haven't needed to get the car out, fortunately. Just been slip-sliding my way to work all week on foot.

The chickens aren't highly amused. They seem to think that this is all my fault and that I need to be roundly scolded every morning

Some on the hills now - got to drive inland this evening to a farming/ex mining town - wish me luck. Thw West of Scotland doesn't seem too badly hit though.
