After all the trailer tyre traumas we travelled back to the UK on the 5am ferry on Saturday morning with very little trouble. Two cars, a screaming cat (don't you just HATE cats with the Siamese gene for ear-piercing howls), a trailer full of wine and probably half the timber stocks of our local BricoMarché.
It looks as if we picked the only decent weather window and even made it across the North Yorkshire Moors before the snow came down. I had been planning on travelling back down to Worcester today but I think it's the time to be staying put with the forecasts. I think it's pretty much across the board but if not, the weather in Whitby is FREEZING! On the other hand, it's so nice to be back and those first Whitby fish and chips last night were wonderful...
