Yes.... that seems to be the worst one eh.... That is also the one that make you feel truly nauseous, and often the line ends up out the door and you get smashed into a wall as you reach the end.

That and the one where you change partner after the twirl (is it the Gay Gordons? - I know the dances, just not the names) God knows who is going to end up throwing you about for the next 60 seconds.



You always know if you had a good time at a ceilidh if you wake up the next morning with unexplained bruises..... :lol:

Strip the willow is my fave!! Haven't done any proper scottish dancing in years (ah the perils of living in England), its such fun though! I just need to try and convince my English friends to give it a go.

( I have been known to try and teach people the gay gordons when drunk, to the detriment of many a kitchen!)

Hey you!!!

I learned all these dances at school (in England).

Mind you I'm fairly certain they told us they were English country dances. :lol:

Really!? Whereabouts in England? Apologies for my ignorance :oops: !

I've never known anyone who did those dances at school in england and I've lived down here for nearly 13 years! :mrgreen:
