Today I have been listening to all my old 45s and 33s on my recently aquired retro style record player.
Stuff like, The Average White Band, Barry White, Chic, Luther, Leo Sayer, Moeown compolations. U have really enjoyed it!

The past hour or so I have been listening to Wolves v Bristol to determined what mood the OH is going to be in later! :flower:

I like a wide range of music, my main criteria are that it can't be overtly political, and I have to be able to sing along! So I've got David Bowie next to Big 'N Rich next to Navras next to Joe Paulik next to Fernando Ortega, etc, etc, etc.

The singing along bit pretty much eliminates rap, just because my mouth won't do that :p

Right now I'm listening to the washing machine on fast spin, the dish washer, Mr Men on TV and Katie chattering away to her invisible friends. It's like this most of the day, every day, so on the rare occasion I have the chance I switch everything off and listen to the silence. Ahh, bliss! Music-wise, I'm a fan of Kate Bush's work, so when I do occasionally put on music of my choice, it's one of her albums.

Daughter nicked my mp3 - and the only time I really get to listen to music is in the car - so this week I are been mostly listening to Radio Scotland - I like Tom Morton's programme.

Generally speaking we are listening to

1. The dog across the road who is abandoned ALL day and barks to amuse himself until I go out and shout at him now and again.
2. A strange bird which I thought might be a cuckoo but is more likely to be a very croaky dove.
3. Our strange Spanish cat who thinks her "job" is to entertain us with constant chatter all day long.

Musically - Madame Butterfly because I've just persuaded OH that opera isn't as bad as he thought it was!
Growing old is much better then the alternative!

I listen to all sorts. I trained as a classical musician but generally like what I grew up with (so that would be Elvis, Buddy Holly, general jazz - my grandad was a jazz musician - and so on), the stuff I listened to in order to annoy my parents (Donny Osmond, ELO, The Sweet, Wizzard, T-Rex etc) and then general goth / punk / new wave and for some reason, 80s electro-pop (Depeche Mode and that ilk).

However, today I haven't been listening, but playing in a concert at the Corn Exchange in King's Lynn. Ain't life grand?
