Greetings from Northern Portugal

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Greetings from Northern Portugal

Post: # 136730Post raesharp »

Hello, was pointed in this direction by Pureportugal from another forum ( thanks PP) Moved to the Minho region of Portugal nearly 2 years ago, with Hubbs and 2 small ones. Moving here to change our lifa and make a better one for the kids. Have a couple of acres and 10 chickens at the mo. but hoping to expand range later! Have started to become more self sufficient, but still a long way to go.!!
Left my teaching job behind and now work from home running the ethicalescape accommodation website, offering holiday accommodation around the world. (Not sure if that disqualifies me!!) Hubbs is enrgy consultant in renewables and we love it here!!

yeah i woke up freezing this morning, didn't want to get out of bed, brrr. by lunchtime i was in a t-shirt

i think that's why we really feel the cold - because there's such a big difference between daytime and evening/early morning temperatures.
