I think my daughter's losing her marbles.....

Post: # 131266Post JulieSherris »

So.... this morning, I get myself together early & head off out the door a little after 9.... drive for 35 mins & get to the daughters house.... park the car in her drive... get in her little fiat & drive to the galway NCT centre (the centre for the irish equivalent of the MOT). She can't do it by herself because she's not yet passed her test....

This date has been marked on my calendar for 5 weeks - she booked the NCT appointment herself online....

And at 10,30am we get to the appointment window & the very nice lady looks at the confirmation letter, and says....
'Oh, this appointment is for tomorrow dear'.........

So - we didn't waste the morning - we popped to the shops & I got a coupla new beanie hats & some snuggly socks & some great veggies including a pomelo, but instead of rebuilding the shed tomorrow, I have to do it all over again!!

What a complete dimbo she is!! She's spent the last 2 weeks reminding me that we had to do it & wondering what the car would fail on..... and went from the PC to the calendar when she made the appointment - grr!! :angryfire:

Kids! Rant over - how's everyone here today?

Julie.

OOOH sympathise - 17 days till daughter's wedding! At present she is sitting Uni exams too. I don't feel worried - but I keep waking in the night with a feeling of unease! Kids indeed!

Ooooohhh..... how are the wedding plans going??

It's so exciting! I've got 3 girls - and none of them want to do the marriage thing yet!

The eldest says she will elope somewhere, when she does, because of the ongoing feud with her middle sister... (it's a very fraught relationship) and she can't be doing with inviting all the family from her dad's side.....

The middle daughter makes marriage plans every time she gets a new man.... about 1 week after they start seeing each other - said 'relationships' generally last about a month.....

The youngest has been living with her man for nearly 2 years - and says she won't marry him, because he's too old!!

Yeah, Kids!

Plans are fine - she has a minor DJ problem - but should sort it. Her younger sister finds it all very boring (she's 17) and her brother (older) is just deeply cynical.
I just have to make little boxes of tablet (Scottish butter candy) for favours - no sweat!
